It took me a little longer to finish . . .

. . . than I had expected! For some reason, sleep has taken over my body the past 2 nights! I finally finished the sneak peek from Thursday. This is the 3rd time that I've been asked to create a painting to match the Pottery Barn Kids - Cherry Blossoms. And all 3 are completely different! Just to remind you, here is the first one and the second {and second & a half.} With each order, I've been given different descriptions as to what each want or are looking for. Different wall colors, furniture color, etc . . . play a huge part in what the final look is as well.

This time I was sent a picture of the sheet . . . .

Here is what I do most times - blow it up and paint in front of the computer!!!

I also had a pillow case in hand {for color matching purposes! - Thanks Womble!} I kept it draped across an easel - and here is what the other table looked like . . .

I'm soooo glad I was sent an email with the sheet picture attached! The favorite scene that was wanted on the canvas was CUT OFF of the pillow case!!! That was the sneaky peeky that I gave you last time!

I have so many favorites about this painting . . . .

This bird for one - is so cute! But I have an obsession with birds {caged birds I should add!}

These blue flowers - I love how they turned out {hence the reason there are so many on the canvas!!}

And as cheesy as this sounds, my absolute favorite thing on this canvas - this "bush" - and more specifically, check out the very top of it - in the middle - see how the brown outline kinda swishes, then fades, then loops again?? I LOVE THAT!! Uhmmm, yeah - that is my absolute favorite thing! {I said it was cheesy!}

You've seen the "Carolina Stripe" from the first one.

And the "Cherry Blossoms" from the second one.

I've learned over the past couple of years, that all of my canvases should tell a story - of that family.

And although there is absolutely no butterfly in the bedding - there is for this family. And it was incredibly important for that single butterfly to be encompassed in the frame that "Julia" is in. Because it tells of their story . . .

What does your walls read?

Your talent is impressive, as is your desire to make each piece particularly special to the family.

How early should someone get in touch with you about creating a piece?

I follow your blog, and i lurk. I love all of your paintings but you really out did your self with this one and had i known you had this in you i would have asked you to make it for my family. I am very sad that a family other than mine will get this beautiful painting. ha ha ha i dont have any children named Julia but to me it doesnt matter the rest of the painting makes the name unimportant. lol! Amazing and im speechless!
