Looking forward to Monday . . . .

I don't exactly know why - it's just been a long weekend. I'm tired - very tired and I think I'm actually going to bed after I finish up this post. 10:30 - that's early for me! Watch me not be able to get up in the morning because I got "too much" sleep.

I feel like we did so much around the house today - yet, I couldn't really name off anything imparticular. BUT I know we did something! Wait - I know we finally got the small table stained that match the cool chairs! {Remember those cool chairs??} IT {the table} is up in the room looking all kinds of fantasic with the chairs! I will definitely post a picture - you guys will be jealous - I can assure you!

The poor boys' room - It is so close to being finished yet so far away! I'm going to have to just buckle down and finish the last curtain {3 windows here and had only 2 at the other house!}, redo the shelving and stain this incredibly large piece of furniture that has 6 cubbies and house some cute toy filled baskets, finish the art for the walls {my poor kids don't have art! What is the matter with me?}, etc . . . . And the list just continues to get longer! Lonnie is taking off a week during Thanksgiving to make Carson and Lawson big boy beds! Whoo - hoo, one of them in particular is OVER the crib - which I can't believe they are still in cribs! I think that is a form of child abuse!

Speaking of beds . . . we are really trying to figure out if we should build 2 just like Hudson's {since they all 3 are in the same room} or if we should build one that looks like Hudson's with a trundle?? You know, I need take a picture and do a post over this and see what kind of opinions I get! Stay tuned for that one!

I'm going to rough it tomorrow and take all 4 kids with me to Carson's and Lawson's 2 year old check-up. My doctor is going to love me! Love me I tell ya'! I will somehow squeeze all 3 boys in the double stroller - wear Em on me in the sling - push the 100 lb. stroller the millions of miles through the parking lot into the building - pray frantically as I wait for them to call our name that my natives do not become restless in the waiting room - set up the portable DVD player in the tiny room as we wait even longer for the doctor - pray even more that Hudson doesn't freak out that the door is shut and his claustrophobia doesn't kick in - and pray even harder for all of God's power that Em does not get hungry and I'm force to whip out my boob in front of my doctor to calm her down {not that my milk will let down in chaos like that anyways!} - yeah, I'd call that roughin' it!

I really can't think anymore - so I guess I need to go to bed. With 4 alarm clocks set . . . .

You CRACK me up!!! I love reading your blog because you are so entertaining. I feel like I'm in the same room with you as I read your entries. I empathize with you trying to deal with 4 young kids all at once by yourself. I don't know how you do it. I mean I read how you do it, but I certainly don't think I would have the patience to do what you do. I admire you for it though. You must really be a strong woman. I wish you luck at the Dr.'s office and hope you don't have to share too much of yourself in front of strangers. Ha!

wow, that sounds like a rough morning... I only have two and I have a hard time sometimes... don't know how you do it with 4!

So, I have a question for you? I love the "avery" painting you just did... the colors match my niece's room...would it be flattery if I imitated it, or would you think that would be wrong? I just think it would look so fun in her room and i know it won't come out just like you did yours, but I would really like to make it and don't want to offend...but flatter... so what do you think? Be honest and let me know... thanks... that is if you survived the trip to the doctors!!!

You are too much and you always crack me up ;)!

I would LOVE to see pics of the beds when you are finished making them. I am sure Lonnie is much more talented than you know who...LOL!

Exhausting weekend here too- I went to bed at 8:30 YIKES! I so want to see pictures of the beds and know what you are going to do. We are in the process of getting ready to make bunk beds- so I would love to see your ideas. Good luck at the doctor- sounds like you are prepared though.

I remember those chairs, they are fantastic! So how did it go with the "too much sleep" posssibility!? I I slept way way WAY too long, and still feel tired right now from that exact situation!

Hope you survived the doctors office, and your kids were all "magically" well behaved! :o)

You are one brave woman! I do usually take my 3 all to the doctor for one visit, but with their age range being so wide, it's pretty easy! I hope the visit went smoothly!

I cannot wait to see what the table looks like! Those chairs are some kind of awesome!

I want to see pictures of the beds, too! I bet they turn out great!

That stresses me out just reading that! You have to bring a DVD player? Is the wait that long that a hot wheels car and fruit snacks won't cut it? Sad!! You poor thing, I wish I could offer to watch them for you! Good luck!!

Do you really get up at 4? I'm wondering how you manage to keep up with your business, do all your own projects, make your house all clean and adorable and then you look cute too!? What's your schedule?

Man and I thought I was roughing it with my 2 at the doctor...I never thought about bringing along a portable DVD...pure genius!

I guess I'm a child abuser... I have my 2 year old still in a crib...he's never attempted an escape, and he sleeps like a dream in it so ya know!
I vote bunk beds, but with a bigger bed on bottom, thats our plan sometime soon....or not, it'll be my 1yr old that escapes first, he's a wild man...I just pray he grows some legs first!
