GIVE-a-WAY!!!!

Okay, well one of my BFF, The Nester, is having a wonderful Mr. Linky Party! She is really wanting to have a handmade holiday this year - and who wouldn't!? And let me just say - I like the word "handmade" much better than "home-made"! When I think of "home-made", I think of those crafts that everyone got into during the 80's and early 90's. The time when everyone and their momma thought they were really good at crafts? The first thing that comes to mind - only because someone recently reminded me of this - is the sweatshirts with the "puff-paint". Anybody remember this??

{this picture has NOTHING to do with puff-paint - I just wanted to show you some original art. And yeah, I painted those cool chairs, too!}

So, anyways {I know you want me to get on with it} - she {The Nester} is hosting this fabulous party! A party where you can find a bajillion things crafted by humans {and not robots!} I'm so stoked for the holidays - stoked I tell ya'! Orders have already started for the Christmas season and I'm loving it!!!! For all those who don't know, I use the money I make to pay for Mom's Day Out. I need MDO - I have 4 kids people - 4 kids, ages 3 and under! It is detrimental for my sanity {and possibly their life} that they continue to go to MDO! That means I have to sell my paintings! I just have to! Not only do these paintings pay for the steep tuition, but will also provide the dough needed to buy Christmas gifts this year. So, the more you buy, the better the Christmas will be for all my "babies".

{this is my oldest baby - 3 1/2 year old Hudson! But he was only 2 in this picture! He says, "Please buy a painting."}

So, go check out the website. Mosey around! See something you like AND order it.

If you don't know what you want - just get a gift certificate!!! How simple can it be. Go ahead, click on the logo - don't be shy . . . . just do it.

{Halloween 2008}

And for those who are not familiar with the holiday sets I've started creating - in a few weeks I will "unveil" my Christmas piece! {Unveil - doesn't that make it sound like something fabulous!} Such as the Halloween set above, I will only make a limited quantity and when they are gone - they are GONE!

And in honor of this party, I thought I would do a GIVE-a-WAY!! Instead of giving a painting away {like I have done in the past,} I'm going to give a $35 gift certificate away instead! That $35 gift certificate will get you a classic collection piece - it will also take care of the shipping {AND the incredibly high tax if you live in the Tennessee area!} OR you can apply the $35 to another painting {or a larger gift certificate for gifting purposes} if you don't want a painting from the classic collection! Now, what is better than a gift certificate?? You can keep it OR you can give it away! I will make sure it is properly filled out to whomever **you want to have it! {**you being the one that wins this give-a-way!}

Now, leave me an awesome comment - and for those who have a piece of my art, leave a comment about how much you love my art!

{Leigh Ann - just a little sneaky peeky! I will post the picture in full tomorrow}

I will end the contest on Friday morning at 8:00 am {that's central time!} Good luck! Now, don't forget to go back to THE NESTER to visit more fun people!

I agree with Jen, I want to hear about the Pirate Party!

But I also really want to win this gift certificate! I'm dying to have a piece of your art! And we're having a baby and I really want a name painting so this would help with that, or help with the Christmas paintings that you're about to unveil that I absolutely must have! :)

We are working on our fourth kid under the age of five (you have me beat I know) and I would love to get a piece of art- especially if it is another girl. My princesses deserve something... or I may pass the gift to my amazing sister who is also a mother of twins that deserves it too. Either way someone in my family will cherish one of your paintings- ONE DAY

Oh I totally have a spot in my son's room for one of your fab pieces! Right now I just have the plain letters above his closet spelling his name. I need help, I know. I'm so winning this...hopefully!

Although we have never met we have lots in common including some sucky family members. Mine being my mother-in-law (I emailed you a while back, Heather's neighbor, yeah I expect you to remember me and Heather too! She won your last give away) I also have too many children under the age of 3, 2 1/2 old Tyler and 1 year old Kate and Shawn. I need one of these fancy paintings in my house cause there is way too much of the kiddos stuff you would never know an adult lived here. I could go on and on, you know how that is. If I don't win, I would still love to meet you one day!! Lisa

I remember the puff paint days! I had a "business" in seventh grade (and up) called LBTee's (my initials) and I would sell the awful looking shirts with puff paint to my friends and even TEACHERS! What? My #1 seller was a huge bow on the shoulder with small ribbons looped and tacked down with paint going diagonally across the shirt. Of course, you had to have the opposite bottom of the shirt tied off, because that looked sooo good. HA! What were we thinking? I love your stuff, by the way! I'm in!

Rebecca said...

I found you through Nester's site and I'm just in love with your art! Those BOO canvases are so adorable--I can't wait to see your Christmas art! Thanks for the fun contest!

Perfect timing! I just found your website from another blog - then again roundabout here!

I would love to win one of your pieces - it would look terrific in our miracle boy's bedroom!

I LOVE your site and paintings...you know that I tell you in previous posts...and the fact that I have been doing things like you do since college but just for me and my friends... and it really helps me in the boring long winters here in Hungary to paint. It gets dark here around 3 and not like until 9 or 10 in the morning and then when I mean light it is grey with no sun all winter... lovely isn't it? I would love to give this to one of my friends in the states... or get one of yours over here... hmmm... so fun. I hope I win, if not I look forward to your holiday collection, I would just love a piece of YOUR art...because mine is so not polished compared to your fun pieces!!!! Mine are wonderfully flawed and full of love (or so I tell myself :)

WOWZERS! Check out all the peeps (myself included) that NEED to have some small words "handmade" art in their lives!

I don't have a little one of my own, and we already know when I do you'll be one of my first purchases! But... I showed my little sister Danetta your blog and website, and now she is hooked like me. Wants an awesome painting for her little Izaiah.

Anywho, if I win I'll use it toward getting her what she wants (isn't that what big sisters are for?) And if not, I'll probably still cave and get her a painting. Cause I know she never will!

You're awesome Kim!!!
