There's a castle in Texas, too! In the middle of nowhere just a few miles from where I grew up. It's crazy!

Check that one out! It has a moat, draw bridge and everything. He used to give tours. The man who built it died a couple years ago. And it's in the middle of nowhere.

For Real, there is a man building a castle about 3 miles from my house. His contractor didn't pay his subcontractors, so the house remains unfinished. SO, if you don't mind your son living in Podunkville, Alabma, I'm sure he could get it for a great price! Let me know if you want pictures...LOL!

There's a "castle" in Louisiana too. When you are traveling east on I-10 from New Orleans to Slidell, right before you start to cross over Lake Pontchartrain, if you look to your right there is a white house designed like a castle on a little bayou. It's pretty cool, actually.

This castle in TN is right off of 840 going towards Franklin, TN. For the whole month of May, they have a Renanissance (sp) festival where they used to give tours...But my opinion, its not worth the price per person for the festival, but you used to get to tour the house...
