Orders . . .

I will no longer be excepting orders for this year. I've debated to post this because I really thought I would see a slow down. But my inbox continues to overflow with them. I'm swamped. And delightfully happy because of it. I have quite a bit to keep me busy through the rest of the year and I thought it only fair that I let you all know that I cannot possible take on anymore till January. Please feel free to fill out an order form on the site, but know that I will not be able to get to the order till the first of 2010. {Unless of course, . . . I get caught up!}

The support, prayers, love and awesome comments you give are immeasurable and I appreciate them all in so many ways. With the push of my husband and some incredible friends, I'm going to do this and hope I don't run anyone off. I have Big Plans for Small Words that I'm hoping by stepping back a little will let me devote more time and energy. Of course I will continue to blog, but now {hopefully} I can get my head above the waters.

Thanks guys for understanding!

We are all here for you, Kim! I love seeing your artwork posts, but can completely understand if you're swamped. Get caught up, girl!

One of these days I'm going to get a painting done by you. I know that I want one...it's just a matter of what the heck I'm going to have you paint!

It is wonderful to be so busy. I admire your choice to slow down on the orders. Family is so important and life is SHORT. Can't wait to see new photos!

I don't know how you do what you do anyway! I read your blog just to marvel at it! Success requires you to cut the orders off...and that's a good thing! Your babies and family come first, and you are making that priority....good for you!

Good for you, although I have to admitt, I'm glad I put my order in already. :) You'll feel so good once you're caught up and ready to take our new orders on! By then, I'll know what our new baby "is" and be able to make a better judgement call on the next few names for you! By the way, love that bedroom set for Em. Is it too personal to ask what your steal price was? I found something similar for our little girls and they are asking $540 for 2 big dressers/mirror and a nightstand. I'm still mulling it over.... hoping they don't sell it in the meantime.

Good for you - are you feeling a bit like ....WHEW!!! Pressure off? (well still on, but you know) Having a business and being a wife and a mama is a hard juggling act. Good for you for knowing when you need to slow things down and catch your breath!

Taking time off is so good for the soul. I am just now getting back and am starting a new chapter. Buh bye Tutta, hello Under a Shady Tree! Looking forward to the unveiling of what those plans for Small Words might entail!

I love your work. I think if it is worth it-after you do the number crunching, you should hire someone to help you.
I read somewhere, "the hardest thing to do, to make your business grow is to let it go - a little...".
Good Luck to you.
