I hate to say it . . . .

. . . . but there are NO MORE "Fa la la"s! I just can't do anymore and get them out {long} before Christmas.

future Fa's - bare with only white paint and a little pearl!

Last night, I was getting started with the "Fa"s {as you can see in the above picture} and then I got a BUNCH of orders for these guys! All day I've been trying to get on here and tell you guys I'm tapped out . . . . but this is just the first time!!

Not only am I doing the normal stuff around here - I'm trying to prep for tomorrow's feast. Yes, that's right - I'm cooking for Thanksgiving! Pray we don't end up in the hospital!! With Hudson still puny, we thought it best to stay at home. My dad, step-mom {and maybe brother} will be here. Unfortunately, my sister has to work - or maybe that was her excuse not to eat my cooking!! And since Krista's fam is in Chicago, she will be joining us!! She is actually going home next week {due to shoulder surgery} - so she thought it best to stay in Nashville for the Thanksgiving holiday. I couldn't have her NOT eat a real meal on such a holiday - so I actually forced her to come!!

Speaking of Hudson - he went to Vandy yesterday and had more blood work. His numbers are all some-what normal {except for his protein.} BUT that has increased significantly and the doctor seemed impressed! So fortunately, instead of 4 to 6 months of steroids, we are looking at more like 4 to 6 weeks! Yeah! His trunk already looks so swollen from those things and they're not the easiest thing to give him. Actually, it takes an act of Congress to hold him down and then an act of God to get him to swallow that stuff. AND today he finally started walking. The poor fellow was just so weak {at first} then he was just so use to being carried! Lugging his 38 pound fannie around got old - especially when you know he can do it! It's amazing what they can do when they don't know anyone is watching!!!!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for.

I can't believe that I am the first to comment, that never happens to me. :) Yeah! I am so happy that it is only weeks that Hudson has to take his steriods. Poor little guy, I am glad that he is on his way to getting better. I don't know how you do it all girl. You amaze me. You are "Super Kim!" You are going to be Fa La La out! I hope that you have a wonderful break and know that I am thankful that you are my friend!

Wow, that's a lot! What kind of paint do you use? And the pearl? I noticed some shine on your monogram paintings in the previous post... is that pearl too?

im just casually browsing blogs, and have no interest in crafts or your page, but heres a tip. i'm familiar with the field of advertising and design and i noticed the image that says "Small Worlds: Incredibly Cute Personalized Art." I think it would do you a lot of good to make that image bigger. When people come to your blog, they will immediately know what it's about, which is important so they don't get turned off because they're confused. also, it is very hard to read because of the size. I'm 19 with decent vision and i have to squint to read it. think of how it is for older people.

Happy Thanksgiving Kim. I am glad Hudson is feeling a bit better.

I've been soooo busy, {although next to you, not quite so much, lol} and I am finally able to catch up on your blog. Your Fa la la's are fabulous! I LOVE them! And it looks like everyone else did too! Sorry about your camera. Mine is broken in the same exact place! I just deal though. I wish I could get a new one! Someday....

Anywho, I hope you get to take some time to rest today... between cooking and everything else! :o)

I passed by your blog page through Blogs of Note and I like those letterings in blocks and letters in art in general. I know I am not on topic, but I do not know where else to post:?

I wonder if your anonymous is the same as my anonymous; mine can't spell either, and is also unfriendly. Maybe there is a whole clan of them.

Anyway, love your artwork! I'm a fabric-and-yarn-craft kind of girl myself, partly because "real" art is outside my talent. It is really inspiring that you manage to work from home with 4 little ones.

So glad to hear that your little man is doing better and only has to be on those yucky steriods for a few weeks. Those things puff you all up - bless his heart!!

And BLESS your pea pickin heart Kim - you arent even going to be able to write after you finish all your signs!!

I noticed that you said some people have negative things to say.
Well that is just the way some people are. I just bless them and go on. I used to take this personally until I learned this negativity has nothing to do with me.

Hi Kim,
I'm new to your blog (saw you on blogs of note and had to take a peek). I know what its like to have a child needing help, yet not receive it because "he just a late bloomer", keep pushing for everything you feel your children need. I finally became a speech pathologist so my kid would get the help he needed.

So glad I checked out the Blog of Note today...it led me here. Your blog is very funny and interesting and your artwork is fantastic!Such talent! LOVED the Fa La la art. Too bad I'm late...perhaps next year I will be quicker! So glad to read that your little guy is doing better.
