purse? What purse??

I went to Kroger last night - actually it was more like this morning. The wee hours of the morning. See, that is what people like me do {people being the kind that have a butt-load of kids!} We go in the middle of the night! No crowds, no lines, can focus on my list, focus on the millions of coupons and all the "better" deals - if you know what I mean - okay, and the fact that it is the ONLY time I'm by myself! Seriously people, I entertain an audience when I'm in the bathroom! As much as I hate the grocery store - I SOOO love the alone time - well worth it! I just wish I could get out of it cheaper!

Okay - on with the point! I was shopping, trying to maneuver the buggy - I can barely see over the top of the gi-tisimo pile of groceries {and that is with them strategically placed AND organized} - when all of a sudden, I realized I was carrying the diaper bag as my purse!! Folks - that is bad, really bad, soooo bad that I'm embarrassed that I'm telling you all about it! A freakin' diaper bag!! With diapers in it - all 3 sizes that we use!! Are you getting this - I'm shopping at midnight - with NO kidlets and using a stinkin' diaper bag to carry nothing but my wallet, keys and cell phone?! What is wrong with this picture?? I don't think I've carried a purse in 3 years - pathetic!
OH, for more humor - Laws "mommed my ride" yesterday!! If you have no idea what I'm talking about - visit here!!! This kid is addicted to some chalk - I'm finding this mess everywhere! Thank my good graces this stuff washes off easily.

You're too funny, I so remember those days when they want to come with you or better yet you need to bring someone with you , becasue if someone is going to escape or get hurt is is when you are on the pot!
I have not had a visitor in about four years now , it will happen, you will get your you back, you just have to ride the mommy train for a while, I remember the joy I had when I didn't need wipes of diapers in my purse those were exciting time, I forgot about all that , thanks for reminding me .
Soon enough you will be trucking around 4 little kids to the movies and out to dinner and they will sit and eat and color , and you will appreciate those days so much.
I really respect you , you have a whole lot of little kid packed in to a few close years, gosh you are brave.

Well at least you weren't in your pjs! Or were you? Just teasing...I have been know to run to Publix in my pjs. Drives my husband crazy. Also, I'm a terrible grocery shopper...love, love, love, cleaning supplies. No tea bags for our liquid diabetes (sweet tea is the drink of choice)...but we have bleach!!! Laundry detergent and the latest softner...but we may not have milk for cereal in the morning! Hope you get a laugh out of this!

I remember those days vaguely. Thank goodness I stopped at the one child and soon was able to carry a purse like a normal person again.

Oh and btw, I still find wee hours of the morning grocery shopping to be the most fulfilling. I drop my son off at school at 7:30am and head straight to the grocery store while it's still relatively empty.

Yeah that is pretty dang funny girl! I'm thinking you need to pull one of those back out for times like these...sure would be alot less bulky. HAHA I am with ya on the middle of the night store runs--only time I have "me" time and you can concentrate on what you are doing aka coupons and Kroger plus deals---but since we have both talked to each other during these middle of the night runs {even funnier} you knew that already.

I love it and am ashamed (kind of)to admit I still carry some of my diaper bags and my baby is SIX! As far as wee hours..you will totally see my mug on the WalMart security cam at 4am. It's bliss to be there all alone - will kind of alone except for the sleep deprived stock people and the idiots who have their baby screaming in the cart while dressed in a full footy pj.. in Florida... where it is 150 degrees..and packing a steamer no doubt. Hey..but at least it ain't my hot mess baby!!

And, I am totally jealous that you have a van to Mom up!! It's just not the same when you have a mini suv :(
