I love having a girl!

First off - I know, so many of you are waiting for some pictures of art - let me say that it is getting bad around here! I'm talking about this computer! Every time I open up photoshop - she goes crazy! It's almost as if they are not compatible anymore?? Big MAC, here I come! ha! But as I type this I just remembered about the old program I used to open and edit pictures with {I'll get on it for tomorrow!} because it is still on this computer somewhere!

But I did have these pictures saved in a draft from last week {that I had already forgotten about!} I obviously gained 4 kids, but lost my memory! Actually, it was gone after the twins! Which by the way, have I ever told you guys about the time I found out I was pregnant with the twins? I was half way along when I did - that's right half way through my pregnancy!! Do you know this story?? Tell me if you don't and I'll post it later this week. You might find a little humor in it?!

Let me say, I love all my kids equally - I really do. I find joy in most things they do AND I'm sure as you all are aware of - at most times I actually crack up at most stuff they do - as long as it is NOT spitting, hitting, or screaming for no apparent reason - which Hudson is very guilty of all 3 on a daily basis!

Now - I heard Em screaming, wailing and throwing absolute fit in the kitchen. I walked in to find her throwing a true tantrum. It was HYS-terical!!! I got the camera real quick and started taking pictures - still unaware as to the problem {because it was that FUNNY!}

Now, look at these pictures . . . . and just try to guess what the problem was. Because it was a "real problem" in Em's little world.

Can you see it?? She was hacked off at this bag of potatoes! Why?! I don't know. I had went to the grocery store earlier that morning. I had put all the food away except for these potatoes - I have a wire basket that I normally put them in, but it had a few funky/old potatoes that needed to be thrown out so I had not gotten to it yet. The bag was in the floor. I guess in her way? I tried getting a picture of her picking up the bag! She looked like she was going to get a hernia with all the straining and red facing she was doing! Truly funny. I don't ever remember the boys EVER being like this. I mean seriously - she has the whole floor to walk around and these potatoes - that were originally in a corner - were in her way. Or maybe she knew where they belonged and she didn't "want" them in the floor?! I don't know - just crazy!

But another great reason for a girl . . . second outfit change for the day! Originally she was in this . . .

Chocolate Chip Cookie. With boys, I just stripped them down and they wore a diaper or onesie the rest of the day {unless we were going somewhere!}

Nasty, huh? Let me also say this outfit was from last year! Another perk to having a girl! She can wear all her 3 month dresses as shirts! I'm talking about all the casual stuff! Seriously, you would never know this was a dress from last year! Now she is really wearing 12 months stuff - but her arms, neck and chest are still small enough to comfortably wear the smaller clothes!? Again, not something you can do with boys!!!

The perks to girl life! I'm so enjoying it!

Back in the day (30+ years ago), my mom had a two-year-old (me), was 8 months pregnant with her second, and our family was moving from California to Maryland. Before we left, friends from the church prayed for our family--one person specifically prayed for a "double blessing." Once we reached Maryland my parents found out that my mom was pregnant with twins. Definitely a "double blessing!"

OMG! The pictures of her fit are so funny!!! What really cracks me up is that you took pictures before even trying to find out what was wrong! I could see myself totally doing something like that! Haha. :o)

LOVE it!! My daughter is 16 months old and she cracks me up all the time. She is such a drama girl!! So different from my girl friends boys. I am so glad I have a girl. I love that you got the pictures of her tantrum. I would love to get pictures of my Lily's fits sometimes.
Oh and yes please post about when you found out it was twins.

Could be some drama in your future??? That's what I enjoyed more about the boys was less drama. Cute little onsie with the lemons!!! I'd like to hear about the twins!

I also put my daughter's dresses on her again the next year as shirts. I have even used some of her dark colored sundresses in the winter with a long sleeve shirt and jeans under it. Very cute!

Princess did this at a VERY early age. She is so dramatic now. I have to agree with Sandy Toes.... Either way they go it's ALL or nothing!!!

Love this! When my hubs was little, his mom took a pix of him having a horrible meltdown! He's now 35 and that priceless pix still makes an appearance at family events...and it looks just like my daughter! Ha! Thanks for sharing. I love your funny tales and artwork!

TOO FUNNY!!!! Let me just say I am glad to know I am NOT the only mom in the world that grabs the camera at times like this. I have a 3 year old boy and 20 month old twins (boy/girl) and man can she throw a tantrum and it is HYSTERICAL over some CRAZY stuff. Thanks.....and I'd love to hear the "story". I found out when I was 5 weeks that I was having twins, yeah, thanks. That leaves 8 months to FREAK out!!!

I had to laught about her wearing her smaller clothers this year. My daughter is 4 1/2 and is wearing her 18 month pants as capris this year. They fit perfect in the waist and hit at just he right spot on her legs. I'm loving getting all this extra wear out of her clothers.

I would love to hear your story about your twins!

That is too funny about the potatoes!

I haven't heard the twin story. I'm a twin, so I think it would be interesting.

I read some of your older post, and read about one of your twins having aspergers. You also said the other twin was fine. I can relate.

As I said earlier, I'm a twin, but I have a disability. My brother does not. My parents didn't treat me any differently. I've also been going to physical therapy for many, many years.

I know how hard it can be, but it seems like you're doing a great job!

The pics are a BLAST! Maybe she wanted mashed potatoes or french fries and was just really ticked that the potatoes didn't come that way, LOL!

Can I remind you in 12 years that your really LOVE having a girl, when the boys start come a-knockin', and all those teenager hormones kick in BECAUSE i can truly say I LOVE HAVING MY BOY for that reason ALONE...LOL!!

But she is totally cute!

I laughed so hard at these pictures! My Lauren is 16 months and we are um, having fun (?) watching all her little tantrums. For sure something new after 2 boys!

Glad to know I'm not alone in this!

I had to show this to my husband. We can totally relate to this. Girls are just different. I would say she was mad bc she wanted them in their proper place.

Love it!
