It's 3 am - I'm tired, but I have too much to do so why go to bed. Right? I had a crazy day. Let me explain {you knew that was coming.}
After my last post, I checked facebook. I had a message. Remember this painting . . . .
Well, the name is spelled wrong. Unfortunately, that is the way I was told it was spelled. Unfortunately, it isn't spelled that way {now.} Unfortunately, I have no idea what I'm going to do. Unfortunately, . . . . well it's just unfortunate!
Let me also remind everyone, it's Tuesday . . . . my busiest day {I hate Tuesdays} - strong word, but I mean it! I get everyone dressed, fed and loaded in the car. Carson and Lawson get dropped off at Mom's Day Out. I left Hudson and Em in the van - I know, breaking the law . . . but it was cold and I really felt no need to get everyone out for a few second drop off! Fortunately, my friend Rachel always checks on the kids in the van when I do this {okay, so I do it often!} When I got back to the van, she asked me when Hudson learned to "flip a bird?" {smirky, smirky . . . I hear you all!} I have NO IDEA what she is talking about. She informs me Hudson not only flipped her off, but continued to flip everyone off that walked by our van! GREAT! I asked him what he was doing with his finger . . . and, well . . . he showed me. I honestly think that takes some kind of coordination - so good for him for being able to do it. But there is absolutely no need to flip folks off at the age of 3! Now, where in heaven's name did he learn such behavior?? School he says! I'm up that kid's butt so far that would have to be the only place I could think of! I'm with him every other place! And people, I have not used my middle finger since high school - towards my step-dad {every chance I got} and it usually followed some horrible words such as " . . .," . . . okay, never mind - I'm not going to say . . . but you get the picture! Because I was classy like that you see!
But anyhoodle, surely I nipped it in the bud!
Then I go get my car tags renewed - since they expired in March. Lucky for me, my husband is in the military so I don't have to pay wheel tax! My tags cost me 24 bucks and not the $76.50 it costs everyone else . . . UNTIL today! That's right - I had to pay the full price! Too bad I didn't budget that out! "Effective immediately - all active duty military personnel can only have 1 vehicle exempt from wheel tax . . ." {because the county is broke!!} Thanks Rutherford County - I know you appreciate my husbands loyal service to this country. It shows.
But it gets better . . . I go to pay. They don't accept my "banking institutions debit card" - I'm not kidding! So, I pull out my VISA - the one I've had since my 18th birthday. They don't except VISA. "What do you accept?" "Cash." "Who has cash?" "MasterCard, Discover and American Express." "Well, I'm sorry. I try to carry only one credit card with me at a time!" "Can you write a check??" "You accept a check and not VISA? That makes a lot of sense?" Let me add - with my kids in tow!
Basically my day is like this all.day.long. Finally at 4 pm I get my kids to Lawson's physical therapy. Since yesterday, they have added one of those automatic buttons that opens the door when you push it. My kids love buttons and especially one that opens doors. The waiting room was packed {I normally figure out the time to get in when it is empty.} And someone was sitting in "our spot" - which was obvious when Lawson tried to push her out of the seat!!! Let me say that it threw him off so bad that we couldn't do PT. I had not been home all day, None of my kids had a nap, I was tired, I was hungry. I was snapping at the kids. We just all needed to go home.
And it took the entire night to unwind! I completed my taxes. E-filed. We are officially rich. But soon I will get the check and we'll be poor again. Thank you God for 12 months same as cash - but unfortunately 12 months are here before we know it. We can finally pay off our fence that we paid a ridiculous amount of money for!!
And to celebrate - we are taking the kids to the aquarium tomorrow - in Atlanta! haha! That's right - we are passing an aquarium in Chattanooga to go all the way to Atlanta {3+ hours away} - yeah, I'm smoking crack and eating this . . .
So, all the emails I've not answered - I'll get to you tomorrow - on my ride down - I promise.

I've always wanted to try that flavor-but not bad enough to buy it! I don't know what I would do if I walked by a car and the 3 year old inside flipped me off! I would probably laugh my ass off. Too funny
What a day!! That's usually how it works - starts off and keeps on going. Icecream makes everything better especially at 3AM :) Have fun tomorrow - which is actually today - be careful on your drive. Hey at least they can't pull you for an expired tag!
Funny about the middle finger! Children innately know what to do to absolutely astonish us! They pick up on what NOT to do SO easily and buck the should do's like pro's!
Have fun here at the aquarium today...you should go by Centennial Park, too and check out the fountain.
Poor Lily painting! There is a Lily out there who spells her name that way somewhere!
ummmm...and I can only apologize for the warped govt. The last place cuts should happen is where those who serve in the armed forces are concerned! That sucks...BIGTIME!
Oh I am so sorry about the misspelling... that stinks! I pray that yummy sounding ice cream helped some... I would love to have some of it...
Oh! You were WAY too busy.
Just enough time for a quick comment. I bet you could still sale that painting- there has to be a little girl out there with that name and spelling- don't you think?
you seriously crack me up... that is all i can say...
Oh...that is crazy about your car tags...who only takes cash?! Have fun in Atlanta!
Yikes a bee! I feel so bad for you and the oh so "lovely" Tuesday that you had. I hope today is much more fun at the Aquarium :)!
Oh Kim....sorry you had such a bad day but I know you were secretly cracking up at the bird flipping! Have fun in Atlanta!
What a day!!! I have to admit I started cracking up when I was reading about Hudson flipping birds. I think him and my son are a like. You just NEVER KNOW what they will say or do next!! lol.
God has a sense of humor right?!? I hear ya on the wheel tax, TX property taxes are out the wazoo since they don't do sales tax and cars are the worst, military doesn't help either!
I hope you all have a FABULOUS trip to the aquarium because you deserve so happy time and I'm sure the fish won't mind, they probably get flipped the bird everynow and then and are use to it! :o)
Thanks...for the laughs!
LOL!!!! we have so much in common....so so so much... off to indulge in my own frozen sin...looks so good!
Hang on to that Lily- someone will come along and love it!
Ice cream helps with just about anything!
I would've PAID CASH MONEY to see him flipping people off...hilarious!!!
I hope you have fun at the Aquarium!
Oh..that looks super duper yummy!
Your birds are just so very sweet!

LMAO about the flipping off part! Completely love the eating the ice cream part and totally jealous of going to the aquarium! Say hi to all the little fishies for me!
Take a breathier and enjoy your day with the family!
Hey girl! Sorry for the rough day... and I do mean ROUGH! Whew! Bless your heart!!!! Hope things look up! Sayin' an extra prayer for you today!
Kids are so cute... and can get away with so many things! Sorry you had a rough day. Hope today was better.
So sorry you had a bad day, But you got to eat great Ice cream! I love Mayfield Ice Cream. We toured the dairy once when we were on vacation in the Smokies. Also the Chattanooga Aquarium is great, but a car trip can be fun, quality family time spent in the car RIGHT??
Have fun and Happy Easter.
There is nothing worse than getting your tags renewed DMV. Seriously!
Y'all have fun at the aquarium!!!
Just finished reading your post. You are hilarious and if I had a day like that I would have a bigger thing of ice cream- oh how I miss Mayfields ice cream.
Just watching all of the storm coverage, hope you all are ok! It passed though Clarksville earlier but I don't know if we actually had any touch down.
Oh, and I am huge Mayfield fan!! Grew up in Athens, home of Mayfield Dairy Farms!!

That's how I'm spelling my girl's name! And we're doing the same colors. The green for the walls, the pink for a lot of other stuff. I found this fabric the other day at Hobby Lobby and all I want to do is paint something similar to it. If I hadn't painted her name on canvas already, I'd do it over! I might just make another one.... how crazy is that? Great painting though!!
Oh, that is how my sweet niece Lily spells her name! Hang onto it. I'm sure you'll get another little girl with that spelling.
