Talking about stretching it out!

Making you wait! I'm sorry - like normal, it was a hectic day and I'm just sitting down to post! I thought I might show you the bedding first! Pottery Barn - don't you love it? I sure do!

I should have prefaced this with Laura came to me in August {yes, August!} - that is how long I've been working on this! Okay - not really "working" on them, but the wheels have been turning for these that long! You see, Laura's husband, Geoff, is in Iraq {how I love military people!} And she wasn't really worried about getting them till he was home!

Folks, he is coming home!!

What was so fun about this painting, is Laura took pictures of the bedding and matched up paint chips to the colors in the bedding. She then mailed it all to me! I'm trying to show you some of the flowers in the bedding that I painted {see above and look below!}

As I said in one of the posts before, this was her fav-O-rite flower. I have to agree it was mine,
too! And because I know she is only looking at pictures - I'm not going to talk between many of them!

And because I really don't remember a time when I didn't add polka-dots of some sort to a canvas . . . .

I added a few in a metallic paint in the one corner of the big canvas!

Yahooo! They look great--love the individual canvases and the three polka dots for good measure. Great font too! Now, ship those jokers out. I'm shoutin' from the rooftops...I'M ON DECK...YAHOO!!!!

That is fantastic work! You did a great job "matching" the bedding but still making it your own.

It's so much more than matching the bedding...
This man has given of himself to make our lives better. This was important enough to his wife to make it all come together.
You made it happen. God bless you all. Him. Her. And you.
Go to bed with a smile on your face tonight!

Kim-
SPEECHLESS!
oh my goodness you nailed it. I seriously can't even formulate the words right now to convey how much I love them. I'll send you an email once my mind starts working again. Right now I have to clean up the drool thats on the floor at my feet.... or maybe I'll just keep staring at the pictures and let the drool pile build up some more~

Hi there.... I have been following your blog ever since I started blogging back in December 2008 and love every one of the paintings you do. While I would LOVE to be able to afford to just buy some of them from you, thats not in my budget sooooo you have inspired me to learn how to do something myself on canvas! You are inspiration girl...and so talented!!

Hugz,
Melinda

okay, for all of you who don't have the pleasure of seeing these suckers in real life, I just have to tell you... THE PICTURES DON'T DO THEM JUSTICE! there are gold and bronze highlights that make it pop and jump of the canvas, the letters and lines are rich chocolate and the background a creamy off white.. more matching with the duvet background. Basically it is amazing, Kim is amazing and I am in heaven!
