Sometimes I wonder . . . .

** edited for Courtney - it is a 28-75 mm/2.8 - haha, I should have known to give more specifics!**

Really wonder, how in the heck I get anything done around here! And I'm a stay-at-home mom! I'm struggling to answer emails, dust furniture and cook supper! How in the WORLD do working moms do it?? HOW is it even possible?

First off let me preface this with - This is going to be a long post with lots of pictures. Why{?} you ask - well, because I just got a new camera! And a couple of days ago, I got the lens I've been waiting for {something about 2.8 aperture - that's all I know.} I meant to take some really funny pictures to document my yesterday - didn't happen - okay, well sorta happened - but not really. I wanted to get the massive stacks of laundry and the huge pile of boxes that were shipped out - just didn't get the camera because I didn't have TIME!! How lame!?

By the way - Yes, I did finish the "Clara" painting! Apparently I like this angle, because I keep using it and that 'gracyn' painting always makes it in every post about art!

Those who guessed glitter . . . .

You guessed right! Oh, how I love Martha! She has the BEST craft stuff out there! And as long as you have a 50% off coupon at places like Michaels - you are going to get a good deal! If no one has this set of glitter, you are missing out! Definitely an "essential" as far as I'm concerned!

I only added glitter on the lighter blue circles and the lighter green circles - and still not that much! {I might eventually eat these words } but I didn't want to over-do the glitter!

Okay, so on with my yesterday! I barely woke up before the kids - which stinks, because I only got a shower and not fully dressed - shoes on, ready to go - before they got up. This means I have to dry my hair and put on a face while changing diapers, getting breakfast {normally loading the dishwasher and starting a load of laundry} just to mention a few! But I managed! But it makes for a rough start in the day!

Since it wasn't a Tuesday or Thursday, I really didn't have to rush too much. Those are the days that Carson and Lawson have to go to school. But I did have to get everyone dressed and fed lunch around 10:30ish and loaded in the grocery-getter by 11:20. I dropped off Hudson at school only to get to Carson and Lawson's speech therapy 10 minutes late - now, actually I was there on time - it just takes me THAT long to get 3 kids out of the van and up to the third floor. Yes, I cram 3 kids in a double stroller!

After an hour there, I dropped off 7 packages at FedEx and 1 package off at the post office - which actually isn't just a post office. It is called "Going Postal" - I'm feeling it! - but they take all packages - including FedEx! I'll remember that next time! I had just enough time to go home for only a few moments - because it is almost time to pick up Hudson at school. I have no problem getting there a few minutes early and sitting in the parking lot, but the other 3 kids do! So, home I went . . . .

Where Carson decided to pour up his own snack!

That would be the WHOLE bottle of Gerber Puffs! Arrgghh! I'm not going to lie - I let him eat them. Since he didn't quite put a dent in them before we had to go, he ate the rest of them when we came home! Yeah, that's right - I'm that kinda momma!

After we picked up Hudson we came straight home - since it was 60 degrees {good ol' Tennessee January weather - it feels like 30 today,} we played outside. We have this ship in our backyard - actually it is the only thing in the backyard - we hope to plant some stuff out there this spring! I played with the camera . . .

Lawson

Hudson's lips look blue because they are! He wouldn't put his coat on! Even though it was 60 degrees, the wind was cold!

Somewhere in between all this - I did 9 loads of laundry, vacuumed {of course}, emptied the dishwasher {twice}, made up 2 beds, cleaned one bathroom and didn't touch one single painting! Arrgghh! Thank heaven I didn't have to cook! We eat Pizza on Friday nights!

This picture was just hysterical - Emsley eating pizza - she loves the camera!

After dinner, Carson and Lawson had push-ups for dessert. Hudson doesn't eat anything like this so that is why there are no pictures of him.

Carson is going in for the kill! haha - hysterical! See the piles of laundry in the background??

Lawson has on no shirt because it was already soaking in Biz and zout from all the pizza! Not a drip it the floor . . . .

because it hit her instead! Dorky dog lays under their chairs waiting for crumbs, so when they eat this kind of stuff she gets covered! Her white ring around her neck is a nasty orange color now! I see someone going to the groomers next week!

Again, this was a Friday - Tuesdays and Thursdays are so chaotic! We have just about given up on naps {except the few minutes in the van} which kills any paint time during the day.

I really need to get something done around here! I hope to have a painting completed for a post tomorrow!

I don't know how you do it either! Your life must be crazy!

I love the glitter on the painting. I'm in the process of making one for my baby but it's hard because the room isn't even painted yet! I know what I want but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to get it. I now see why you love to have as much help as you can from paint chips, fabric and so on. I just love your paintings!

Okay, I admit I haven't read anything past you got a lens (I'll go back and read, promise). What lens did you get? The generic 2.8 aperture isn't a good enough answer, so look at the box for me, k?? =) Please.

Just reading about your life makes me tired! haha! So fun about your new camera! I love all the pictures! I am feeling a little jealous about the glitter! But, I am not very artistic. So what does a non artistic person use glitter on?!

I need a nap after reading all that! Really, I admire the getting up before the kids thing. I must just be super lazy. I'll stay up till 3am and work, work, work, but I can't seem to pull my junk out of bed till I see white eyeballs staring at me begging to be fed. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in your house and watch you for a day. You amaze me...

Love your new camera. GREAT shots! I don't know how working moms do it either. I don't know how YOU do it. I only have two and feel like I don't get enough done. I think it is the therapy time though. We are in the car about 5 hours on Mon, Tu, and Wed. No joke!

I'm in Tennessee too. Hasn't this weather just been crazy? It feels so good outside today, but the local station says it might snow tomorrow or Tuesday.
