I really am on a roll!

***edited again - Uhmmm, yeah - thanks for pointing out my HYS-terical title to this post! Did I mention it was the middle of the night when I typed this?? I swear, that is my excuse everytime! So, why did only one person say something?? Did you think it was a play on words or something?? 'Cause it wasn't!!!!***

**edited - I've got a ton of emails about facebook - check me out under Kim Tate Wheeler! Friend me!**

But I know I just messed it up with that title! Four in four days is not bad! I'm actually very impressed with myself - and I've started on several more! Nevermind the fact that on Saturday night I never went to bed - okay, well actually I fell asleep with the paint brush in my hand around 5:50 in the morning! Only to wake back up an hour or so later to my kids trashing out the house. Lovely!

I normally do not paint matchy - matchy stuff {So, please don't ask.} I don't mean to be offensive - but it is hard trying to make someone else's work look like mine {does that make any kinds of sense?} I did try to change the pattern up a little - but I'm sure not enough that omits me from all the copyright laws.

The mother made the bedding herself! I did that with Hudson - slaved over the bedding - and I made a coordinating set when the other two came along. I bought Em's - didn't quite have time to make supper, much less bumper pads, crib skirt, window treatments, etc . . . . ! So for all the women who do make your own nursery bedding - I applaud you!

Look how cute the bedding is?? She did a great job! Piping is not the easiest thing to sew, nor are those ties!

And just because I do have another one started that should be next {but not quite ready tomorrow,!} I give you yet another sneaky peeky!

Updates, house keeping and opinions . . . .

So, I know all of you have heard of Harper Brown Stamps! It looks like they got great news today! She had a great post today! After having 2 babies in the NICU, I could not agree with her more. You try hard not to look at the other babies around you, but you can't help it. Then your wonder turns to worry as you try and guess why each tiny thing is in there. The hardest part for us, was to watch babies who came in after us, leave before us. But I never once thought my two wouldn't make it. Never. I couldn't imagine what Kelly is going through and we need to keep baby Harper and every other little baby in our prayers.

Okay - people, I did it - I jumped into the world of facebook! Will you be my friend??? Hahaha!!

I took Lawson today for his first OT - and guess what?! I was told that he doesn't need 3 days a week - 1 will do! Praise Jesus! That just freed up 2 hours in my week! I really could use it!

Need some opinions . . . I'm really thinking of getting a mini notebook - do you know what I'm talking about?? I could link to one - but I have no idea which to get. But one of those small laptops. It would just come in handy now that I spend so much time on the road with the therapies, schools and everything in between! So who has one?? And what do you think?? Is it worth it?? I only want it for email purposes - which include all business related stuff . . . . . and blogging {and I might as well throw in facebooking, too!} I think it would free up time here at home if I could answer emails and invoice and update orders and blah, blah, blah . . . while I'm out and about {which normally means sitting in my van waiting or in a waiting room waiting.

I'm so tired - I think I'm actually going to go to bed at a normal time tonight. Ignore the fact that it is almost 1 am!

Kim - I have the mini dell. I LOVE it. You can put it in your purse. I actually bought the mini messenger bag from Dell and it is adorable. I highly recommend it. I got it for the same reasons you stated above.

I love how you changed up the guitars some. The angles make it look more fun and less "matchy matchy." And I wish I could make my baby's bedding... but I don't really sew, nor do I think I could do it.

Have fun with your extra time now! :)

I love the painting...SO cute!

My husband gave me a mini notebook for Christmas and I love it! It's an Acer Aspire One...He's big into computers and did a lot of research on what he thought would be the best.

LOVE the guitars!!
no offense to Jerilynn, but my daughter has a new dell..and she's had nothing but problems.. and even though she purchased the warranty, she CANNOT get anyone to HELP her!!! the darn thing has crashed about a dozen times in 4 months time, and when she calls for assistance, she gets absolutely NOWHERE! my advice is to look elsewhere. i have a toshiba laptop, my second, with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever! :D
PS.. it DOES save you time!

blessings,
Tracie

You are a Guitar Hero!! Fabulous!

PS>>>NICU is both the greatest and saddest place on earth! Babies are TOO precious for words and should not any of them suffer at all!

Where would we all be without the wonderful Hope and Faith to get us through?!

if you want a really fun laptop or mini note book if you prefer try one of the HP tablet ones, it's what I use, and the fact that you can draw and hand write right onto the screen is a huge creative outlet. I keep meaning to do a post about mine. Maybe later today I finally will. P.S. the paintings are awesome. maybe one day (like not for a million years) ill get to order one too!

my mom loves her notebooks. she actually has 2 that she uses for work...don't ask me why. she just has 2. We brought one with us to hawaii for downloading pics and she was able to do some work while enroute--all w/out lugging a huge laptop.

I love the guitars. Very cute. I wish I would've had the ambition to finish something like that bedding for my boys. But i'm getting around to painting murals (one dragons and the other star wars) in their rooms so I guess I should be happy with that.

Love the Levi --- super cute.

I thought you meant like a mini notepad/pencil too when I first read the post ... ha ha .. I am a MAC snob now though ... once you go MAC, you NEVER go back -- i'm serious.

Leigh said...

Yes, a Mac Snob here too! But why don't you just get a blackberry/blackjack/or IPhone? I've changed setting and emailed or posted with my Blackjack before. And Obviously much cheaper and easier to carry around than a laptop. Good luck! And loving the guitars....

Super cute work, as always!

So, I think the notebook computer would be a great idea! The mobility is wonderful and I honestly think it would be a great investment seeing as how you are on the run so much... it would, most likely, save you some time!! I say, go for it!

Hey Kim! Great work, love the guitars! YES! I know what you mean about the NICU. 2 of 4 of my kiddos started out there, not fun! Harper's birth weight really helped her along. They say little ones "seem OK" until it's too late, so alot of what the NICU is about for little ones like Harper is making sure things don't get worse. That was the case with Jane. Christian was like Harper. No one would tell us ANYTHING. We wanted to move him to Vanderbilt and they said he wasn't stable enough to move. Can you imagine? 5 days after his birth we took him home. He'll be 16 next month and has a 4.0 average, serves in BETA, on the yearbook and his TRAP team placed 7th in the Nation this past year! God is good. As far as laptops go, I HIGHLY recommend going to DELL Outlet online. These are mostly units that people ordered and then made a change to their order and those units originally ordered go to the outlet to be sold. I know you want something SMALL- that should be NO PROBLEM. I bought a HUGE laptop (17 inch display) with CD/DVD burner, webcam, 260GB hard drive, 2 GB memory every bell and whistle you can get for $798. I like DELL outlet because you get the same warranty as a NEW one and your purchase is outright- not an auction, which I prefer. Let me know what you end up with!
