Another sneaky peeky . . .

Because I know you all love them so . . . .

Now, THAT is what I'm talking about! A real sneaky peeky!! Check out that shot! Yes, that is with my NEW camera - taken at night! And yes, the paint is chipped looking! We are going for a vintage/worn look! Ahhh, the camera is a freakin' genius! It's like it has a mind of it's own. It thinks for me! I just look into the hole and push the button! And it makes the magic happen! The whole aperture thing . . . Love you . . . don't really understand you . . . . but I love you! Seriously, that picture is pretty true to color! I've never had that happen with my little ol' point and shoot {even before the duct tape!} Amazing!

Well, Hudson had his first day of pre-school today. He loved it! Wants to go back tomorrow - good thing 'cause he is! I cried after I dropped him off - yeah, I know - pa.the.tic! Oh, so shoot me - I'm his mother - couldn't help myself! We really talked up the school thing for the past 3 weeks and daily we looked at his 3 ring binder they sent home that had pictures of all his new classmates {fabulous idea btw!} But the poor soul couldn't sleep a wink last night! You know when you are dreaming but you are somewhat in a conscious state? You talk {some hysterical lingo} and then close your eyes and go back to sleep just to do it again about 20 or so minutes later? That was Hudson. He kept saying, "I don't know what I'm going to do?!" "Mom, I need help - quick, I need help." "Hello, are you listening to me?" tee hee! He actually fell asleep in our bed around 4 this morning and was out! Let me say, he has never slept in our bed - EVER - so he really wasn't acting himself!

Em has a terrible head cold. And has pretty much slept the past 24+ hours! She wakes up long enough to nurse and then falls asleep again. Pitiful.

Carson and Lawson are still sleeping on mattresses on the floor - can you repeat after me - "trailer trash!" It is killing me! If I knew they would be on the floor this long, they would still be in cribs! The new beds are officially done . . . but they need stain and poly. And we have had some C.R.A.P.P.Y. weather for staining furniture.

But I figured I would show you what they look like! The top one has a headboard - it's just not attached. You will have to use your imagination! Maybe one day I'll get to show you the finished piece - 'maybe' is the word.

WOW! I just typed a comment, and when it posted, about half the content was gone....sorry for the delete, but it made no sense! LOL!

It just said that I loved the art and couldn't wait to see the finished product, and how jealous I am over your handy-man hubby and the absolute GORGEOUS beds which are works of art, themselves!

I hope little Em will be back to her cheerful self very soon!

so is there an ethical treatment of humans clause in the Small Words statute on rights? You know it is considered a form of torture to present sneaky peekys and leave your readers and guessing for longer than 4 days~
:o)

Well, they look GREAT so far & I LOVE the sneak peak! The colors look awesome & the first thing I DID notice was the "vintage" look, and yes, I did think the paint was "just chipped" before! :) LOVE it!

The beds look amazing! Glad Hudson's first day was fantastic. It helps when they aren't screaming their head off. :-) Hope Em feels better soon.

I can't wait to see the finished product the colors look so fun. We can't tell our four year old the activities for the next day or else no sleep will be had. I actually had to lie to her Sunday night when she asked if she started back to school on Monday, naughty of me. I really do need you guys to come and make me some beds- bunkbeds preferably can you catch a flight out to Utah soon?

Hooray for liking preschool! I hope your little one feels better soon. I wouldn't feel too bad about the boys sleeping in mattresses on the floor...my mom had to do that with my brother to "teach" him not to roll over too much. He didn't get his actual bed until mom stopped finding him in the middle of his floor.

I would say that the art is beautiful, but I can't see enough of it. ;)

I did not know that vintage was a choice, but I will definitely remember that for later ;)!

I am SO HAPPY the little man loved pre-school ;)! I know that has to be a HUGE relief to you.

The beds look great ;)!

I totally understand the confusion on the whole aperture thing - I just got a new camera too and don't quite know what it is, but I love it! Can't wait to see the new piece. I love the vintage look. You've inspired me to start crafting again as well! Love your work!

I don't have to see the whole thing, I can tell from he sneaky peaky that I LOVE the new piece! I still think it's marvelous that your hubby made those beds - that's really special... even if it is taking a long time! It's the rain's fault, ugh!

So happy that playschool was a hit for Hudson. The sneak peaks are awesome--can't wait to see the finished product. Your Husband is also very talented--the beds look great and they will be worth the wait. Enjoy!

Would love to know where you got the plans to build the beds (or do you even have plans). What is your husband's skill level on this? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if my husband could build something like that for our son. We have a 13 month old who is getting ready to move out of the nursery to make room for baby boy #2 due in May. He'll still be in a crib for a while, but I want him to have a cute bed, preferably one with a trundle (for guests). If you have time to share, I would love to hear from you.
