During the hectic rush of Christmas, I did the big 'no-no' - I painted in front of the kids - during the time I should have been spending with them!
While painting, all the boys were sitting at the table playing with play-doh. I barely talked to them, because mostly they were playing amongst themselves. I didn't really feel the need to interrupt with my blabbering, so I didn't!! I have no idea what Hudson said up to this point {and really there is no telling} but I heard him say,
"And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Pizza."
I didn't look up at all. I about peed on myself, but I didn't look up. I said, "you mean 'Prince of Peace'?"
He then said, "Prince of Peace and Prince of Pizza."
I'm thinking - only on Friday nights! Because me and my house always eats pizza on Friday nights.
This is a child I'm raising.
Let's hope he runs our country one day?!
hysterical!

OMG I think I did pee myself from laughing so much! How cute is that and a memory that you can haunt him with when the girlfriends come a knockin'. Love it!
What a super cute and funny bunch you have!!!! Love your work, Happy New Year!
That's so cute! My aunt keeps a small notebook in her purse that has all the funny things her kids have said. I keep telling myself that I'm going to start one. Sounds like you need one as well!!!
That is TOO cute!! Love it! Enjoy those moments wiht your little ones--even though they can drive you bananas sometimes! My boys are growing up way too fast!
Kim, I love your work. You are a very talented girlfriend! You've inspired me to get my paint and pens and canvases back out--after being up for over a year! I have one question for you. What type of finish to you put on your canvas to protect it?? I had a horrible experience a few years ago with some Santas that I painstakingly worked on for HOURS. When I sprayed on the finish (this was paper mache not canvas at the time), it ran--my white beard was now PINK!!!!! I have not finished anything since for fear of it happening again. I think I used Krylon or something!! What do you suggest? Feel free to email me at scrunnermom@gmail.com or just hop over to my blog at http://scrunnermom.blogspot.com/ which needs to be updated sometime!!
Thanks so much!!
Blessings,
Susan
Crackin' me up! Seriously, kids say the funniest things!!!!
First of all, I'm amazed that your son knew the whole "He will be called...". I can never remember them in the right order. At least now I'll never forget that Prince of Pizza comes last. :)
That is just TOOO cute! It is amazing what comes out of the mouths of babes!
That's adorable! Aren't kids funny?!

Way too funny. Was that a line he had in a Christmas program?
Sounds like something my little one would say.

Just a note to say that I truly enjoy reading your posts. And, your blog is too cute!
That is the best. James was on the phone with my Mom the other night, and when she asked him to pass it to me he said, "OK Grandma, hold on TIGHT!"
LOL How sweet is he!? So incredibly cute!
Just found your blog linked to the "nester" and I have to say it is a pleasant diversion for me on this snowy, sniffling, pajama wearin' day. I think your word art is fantastic and your fiesty-ness (is that a word?) is refreshing! Have a glorious new year.
Ahh - I love these things are kids come up with (and they make the best blog posts. :)
Oh...I LOVE it. I just love to see the world through their eyes.
P-lease paint that and hang it every Christmas and then wrap it up and give it to him when he is older.
Too precious for words.
My son said, Mommy, excuse me, that was a "burp from my bottom" and he has not changed!
What manners!
