First outing with 2 of the 4 kids . . .

So, I'm starting off slow. Yesterday - I got my hair cut and I took one kidlet {Emsley} with me. Today - Hudson got his hair cut and I also took Emsley with me. Now, don't expect me to post tomorrow about taking 3 kids with me - 'cause it ain't happenin' people!!! But can I tell you how EASY it is to take 2 kids out at the same time. As most of you know - I skipped that and went straight from 1 kid to 3!! I have taken only 2 kids out at a time, but not when anyone was as tiny as Emsley! How stinkin' easy!! My suggestion - everyone should have twins their first time around, it makes the second {or 3rd in my case} sooo easy!! haha!!

I got myself a dry-erase calendar while I was out today - I've got to do something different! Not that a calendar is different - especially since I use about 5 of them at a time!! Does anyone else do that? Seriously, I've got my "planner" - {obviously it has all the going on's around here in it!} I've got a "what happened" calendar - {when my kidlets have a milestone or something funny happens or whatever!} I have Hudson's school calendar {which I swear, I try desperately to combine with my planner!} There is also Lonnie's calendar - {anything of importance also goes in my planner, but somehow something always gets left off!!} blah, blah, blah - I'm sure you guys get the point!

Oh, yeah - my dry erase calendar - I lost the thought there for a second {I did just have a baby! Forgive me!} Well, I'm a huge goal person - I set goals and I expect to meet them! I think it stems from my Mary Kay days - did any of you guys out there sell those cosmetics too??? Anyhoodle, {I must focus!} I thought if maybe I got this board and could write out all my "weekly goals" - I could {maybe} focus on each objective and accomplish it!! And {maybe} then I wouldn't feel so defeated by the end of the week!!

I've been working from lists - but that just ain't cutting it anymore! I need a visual - a large visual! Something that will be breathing down my back. I could hang it right here beside the computer. Then, while I sit here, blogging, emailing or whatever I'm doing - I can see it out of the corner of my eye and feel some type of guilt and work on these "things" that I must do!

I'll let you know how it turns out. . .

Something I have tried is a different color dry erase pen for: kidlets, me, church, snack etc. You will do fine!

Now see if I tried that--I'd be looking at that calendar and it IS dry erase--it would be the end of the week and I might find myself erasing some of the ones nowhere near done. LOL!! It really is a great idea. I used to do the different color thing myself too. Now I am currently using your old theory--about a million calendars and always forgetting something.

I've been using a desk calendar with post its. It allows me to move the post its around to the next month without having to rewrite everything. I use different color post its for different family members. That way my to-do-list moves with me because it never ends ya know?
